Your dream description
When you submit a dream, its text is sent through OpenRouter to generate an AI-assisted reflection. Do not include real names, contact details, account details, health records, or anything else you want to keep private. SomniaScope does not save dream descriptions or interpretations in an account history or its application logs.
OpenRouter and the AI model provider selected for a request may process the submitted text to provide the service. Their retention, security and data practices are governed by their own policies. Read OpenRouter’s privacy policy.
Automated articles and images
SomniaScope uses OpenAI to generate scheduled dream-reflection articles and their accompanying images. This automated publishing process does not use the dream descriptions that visitors submit through the interpreter.
Essential cookies and usage limits
An essential session cookie protects the interpreter form against cross-site requests. It is not used to identify you. To protect the service from abuse, the application stores a daily keyed hash of your connection’s IP address, a request count and a timestamp. This record is replaced on the next request after the UTC date changes and is not used to build a profile of you.
Essential cookies and advertising choices
SomniaScope may display third-party advertisements through HilltopAds (Zone 7503205). We do not load the HilltopAds advertising script until you actively choose “Allow ads.” If you decline, the advertising script remains disabled. HilltopAds and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, similar browser technologies, and technical information such as your IP address for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Depending on the ad format, an advertisement may open in a separate browser window after you click on the website.
We store your advertising choice in your browser's local storage so that we can remember it; this choice expires after up to 180 days. You can change your choice using the Ad preferences link in the footer. If you withdraw permission after ads have loaded, the page reloads to stop loading that advertising script on subsequent page views. Changing this choice does not remove cookies that third parties may have previously set; you can clear those in your browser settings. You can also use our website without enabling advertising.
The essential interpreter session cookie and service abuse-prevention measures are described above. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the interpreter from working correctly.
Technical records
Our hosting provider may keep access logs, including IP address, browser details, requested URLs and time of visit. Retention and access depend on the hosting account’s settings. Application logs record technical events and errors without dream text or raw AI responses.
Your choices and questions
You can browse the dream dictionary without using the interpreter. SomniaScope does not create user accounts or keep a personal dream archive. For a privacy question, correction request or data-related request, email hello@somniascope.com.
